“The first group to comment or tweet about our current blog post “The Top 3 Reasons to Learn Italian This Summer” will be entered into a drawing to receive an autographed copy of La Bella Lingua, My Love Affair with Italian, the World’s Most Enchanting Language, by Dianne Hales.”
Why should you consider learning, speaking, brushing-up, and exposing yourself and family to the beautiful Italian language and culture this summer? Peruse our TOP 3 REASONS below.
1. YOU’RE GOING TO ITALY
If indeed you are going to Italy with family or friends it is a great idea to either learn the basics, brush-up giving yourself more confidence, and/or give your children a preview to the country they will be visiting.
At La Piazza di Carolina you can register for a Family Lesson where Carolina comes to your doorstep – books, photos, and music in hand – ready to give you and your family an Italian preview that will prepare you for your travels and enhance the cultural experience for your children. Call us for details.
If you are going to Italy with a group of people or a companion, then our Traveler’s Italian Course is perfect for you. In four meetings you will learn phrases to get you through traveling, shopping and dining, scheduled at your group’s convenience.
If you prefer individual attention, Carolina will work with you to arrange Private Lessons.
All of our lessons are taught through a communicative approach to get you speaking Italian as quickly as possible.
2. YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SUMMER EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CHILDREN
Give your child a unique, immersion experience in Italian. For 2 weeks in July your child will learn Italian through a variety of stimulating topics while playing and having fun. This is no conventional classroom, but rather a nurturing, home-like setting where creative exploration occurs in natural ways – all in Italian!
3. YOUR BABY ALREADY SAYS “CIAO” “NONNA” AND SINGS “BATTI LE MANINE”
So your little one has a knack for speaking Italian. Now is the time to leverage this ability! A recent study at Bristol University in the UK has found that “babies exposed to multiple languages during their first few months retain the ability to recognize sounds from all the languages they hear.” Read article here.
